More than three hundred delegates and member of South East PAC-Net drawn from a South Eastern Nigeria zonal states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states recently converged in Abakaliki for the 4th Biennial Stakeholders conference and Award-Niteof South-East PAC-Net. The event was held at Salt spring Resort hotel, Abakaliki. The theme of the conference was Maternal and Child Healthcare in Nigeria, Looking beyond 2015, while the sub-themes were, Family Planning � Save lives, Challenges of prevention of Mother to Child Transmission. The conference consisted of a delegates meeting held on the first day of the event. There were two keynotes presentation by Professor Sunday Adeoye of the Fistula Centre Abakaliki and Dr. Mrs. Ezeonu of the Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki. A guest presentation was also made by Dr. HabeebSadauki of the Fistula Care Plus USAID Project. The opening ceremony of the event cheered by professor Arthur Ikeme, of UNTH Enugu. The Executive Governor and Honourable Commissioner for Health were represented by the Director of Primary Healthcare who declares the conference open.High point of the occasion was the Dinner/Award nite which witnessed a variety of entertaining presentation � musical performances and cultural dances. Three benefactors received maternal mortality reduction support award � Sir Bright Ekweremadu M.D Society for Health; Dr. John Okoye of S.T Catherine�s Hospital Portharcourt and Professor Chinyere Okunna, the Anambra State Commissioner for budget and planning.
