SOUTH EAST PAC-NET PARTNERS WITH SOCIETY FOR FAMILY HEALTH TO TRAIN HEALTH WORKERS ON WOMEN-CENTRE POST ABORTION CARE (WC-PAC), AND USE OF MANUAL VACCUM ASPIRATOR

South East PAC-Net received support from Society for Family Health to train a total of sixty health workers  Doctors and Nurses on WC-PAC and use of MVA. Fifteen health workers were trained from each of the four zones of SFH under its Women Health Project, the zones include Benin, Enugu, Owerri and Calabar. The training had a quarterly mentoring component where by the trained health workers were visited on a quarterly basis over a period of twelve months for appropriated supportive supervision. Training on Women-Center Post Abortion care builds the capacity of the health workers towards the combat of maternal of maternal mortality and morbidity from abortion related causes. Doctors and Nurse-middle level providers expose to this training expressed delight and satisfaction, pledging to make gainful use of the skills required
