Twenty five members of the youth wing of  Post Abortion Care Network (PAC-NET) recently participated in a training workshop on proposal writing and advocacy skills and tools, conducted by IPAS Nigeria. This training which was carried out at Convaj Hotel Nnewi had participants drawn from Anambra and Imo State branches of PAC-NET Youth Wing and was anchored by Miss. Bibian Amah and Mr. Chuddy Ene of IPAS Nigeria. The training was essentially to strengthen the capacity of the PAC-NET Youth Members towards the effective conduct of two main thematic foci of PAC-NET viz Advocacy and Research.The workshop which was highly interactive involved lecture presentations and demonstrations that adequately provided the needed information on proposal writing skills as well as effective advocacy skills and tools for the participantsThe one day training ended in an optimistic note for the PAC-NET Youth wing coordinator, Mr. Chukwuebuka Okonkwo who expressed the happiness of their members at the training while pledging their commitment towards an effective utilization of their newly acquired skills to reach out to funding agencies for research grants and to their peers for advocacy and sensitization on various aspects of youth and adolescent reproductive health.In his speech, the  PAC-NET Coordinator Prof. Brian Adinma congratulated the participants at this vital training while expressing his gratitude to IPAS for their thoughtfulness towards empowering the members of PAC-NET Youth Wing on the skills and tools for self reliance in their work as PAC-NET members.Present at the training workshop were the executive members of PAC-NET, the coordinator of Imo State Youth Wing PAC-NET Mr Chibuike Njoku and other members drawn from both Anambra and Imo State branches of the network
